Style Sweet CA is a cake and pastry blog for the home baker. As a professional cake designer/bakery owner turned home cook/food blogger, creator/editor Tessa Huff aim's to empower the everyday baker to take risks in the kitchen and try new things in the culinary world. Along side her industry tips and tricks from my years spent in commercial kitchens, Tessa enjoys sharing her everyday successes and errors as a baker, photographer, and mother from her little Vancouver apartment. Hi there! I'm Tessa! Thank you for stopping by my sweet corner of the Internet. If you enjoy eating delicious pastries and creating show-stopping cakes, then you are definitely in the right place.
I am a baker, blogger, photographer, and author. When I am not working on my latest cookbook or chasing around my active toddler, you can find me testing recipes for this space and more from my city apartment in beautiful Vancouver, BC. As a Northern California native and travel-lover, I try to find flavor and design inspiration from around the world, however some of my best ideas are cooked up right here at home with my son and husband.
After making the big move to Canada and leaving behind my beloved cake shop, I decided to record my favorite cake recipes and decorating tips from years spent in a commercial kitchen. "Layered: Baking, Building, and Styling Spectacular Cakes" was release in 2016 with Abrams Books. It is now in its fourth printing and available in three languages! Look for my next cookbook, "Icing on the Cake" where most books are sold, Spring 2019.
