I love taking classic flavor pairings and other treats and turning them into new recipes (see Indoor S'mores, Key Lime Pie Truffles, and Peanut Butter- Banana Cake). You get the idea. Although I am not in school, nor do I have school-aged children, I definitely noticed a shift of energy around the city that declares that summer is (pretty much) over. The cooler weather and lighter presence of tourists has slowly signaled that we put down out chilled wine and summer cocktails on the patio and get back to work. Today, I am sharing my first apple recipe of the season. Combined with maple sugar and cinnamon, this easy Apple Maple Peanut Butter Tart perfectly eases our way into back-to-school (or work) mode.
