Along with the rest of society, I am anxiously awaiting the release of The Great Gatsby movie next week. I'm sure the real 1920's were not as glamourous as we think, but I really don't care. The music, the fashion, and the bubbly- it all just makes me want Charleston are the whole town. I attended a Roaring '20s event a couple months ago and got to live out my dream. With feathers in my hair, fishnets, and strings of pearls, I got down to shimmering the night away in my best flapper fashion. I was beyond inspired to create this Art-Deco Great Gatsby Cake!

I also included layers of dripping peals and an intricate art-deco bottom tier.
Champagne Cocktail Recipe: 3 drops Peach Bitters 1 sugar cube 1 ounce Grand Marnier 4 ounces Champagne Drop bitters on to the sugar cube and let sink in. Place in the bottom of a Champagne flute and top with Grand Marnier and Champagne. Blood Orange Granita Mimosa Recipe: 2 cups fresh blood orange juice 1/4 cup sugar 750 mL Champagne Combine juice and sugar. Place in a shallow baking dish and into the freezer. Scrape the surface with a fork every 30 minutes for about 2-3 hours to keep from freezing in large chunks. Once set, place 1/2 cup of the granita into each glass and top off with Champagne. Enjoy!
